Hokkaido University, in close collaboration with higher education institutions in Asia-Pacific Region, has developed “AUA Model*”, a guideline of self-assessment from the perspective of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the aim of enhancing value and attractiveness of universities committed to ESD. The model is expected to be used mainly by stakeholders of ESD at unversities. This provides perspective to enable consideration in their efforts to reorient themselves toward a sustainable future and help them identify specific areas of ESD to be addressed and improved further. AUA Model can be downloaded from the following website: http://www.sustain.hokudai.ac.jp/aua/ The AUA Model will continue to be refined in response to suggestions and comments.
