On April 9, an entrance ceremony for the Intensive Japanese Language Course was held at the International Student Center.

A total of 13 students from 11 countries and regions were admitted to the course, including 4 who will enroll in the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine after completion. During the ceremony, President Saeki delivered a congratulatory speech, followed by brief self-introductions from each student.

After the event, the international students joined a campus-wide orientation session hosted by the International Student Center at the Clark Memorial Student Center. Representatives from the police and Sapporo International Communication Plaza also attended. Explanations of campus administrative procedures, life in Sapporo, consultation services concerning campus life, and other useful information was relayed.
