[About the selection of subjects]
Q1) How many subjects can I apply for?
A) There is no upper limit, but please apply for a maximum of six Japanese language classes if you include “Japanese Language Seminar”. For the Co-learning Multicultural Classrooms, a maximum of three classes are recommended.
Q2) I am a new student. I don’t know my Japanese proficiency level.

A) Yes, you can; however, it would be difficult for you to understand classes in kanji if you don’t know the grammar at all. We recommend you to take Introductory Grammar or Survival Japanese together.
Q8) What are the differences between Introductory Grammar and Survival Japanese?
A) Introductory Grammar is offered four quarters per year and Survival Japanese is offered two semesters per year. There are three Introductory Grammar classes per week and Survival Japanese has two classes per week. Survival Japanese is a course designed to develop conversation ability necessary for everyday life so students will mainly practice conversations. You will need self-study to undrestand Japanese grammar.
